Being the father of 4 children, who are all involved in community sports I have come to see the benefits that sport can give to youth. I also receive personal worth when a past player or player’s parent stops me on the street to relate how a past sporting experience has benefited a child. I am a strong believer and supporter of the Positive Coaching Alliance (www.positivecoach.org) and the results achievable by coaching using this approach.
I have always believed that as a community realtor and businessman that part of my job involves giving back to my local community. I feel priviledged, to live in a city like Burlington that affords my children with the big diversity of sporting options we have here.
Having coached over 1000 local kids, in several different sports, both at the school level and club level I have always wanted to have a greater connection with coaching and my business. Since a good Realtor and a good Coach need basically the same skills to be successful, I came up with this sponsorship program. Now on top of volunteering my time, I am offering to sponsor players and teams under my “Coach Kay’s Player/Team Sponsorship Program”.
